A Swingin’ Trio — Graphic Design (Faux Movie Posters)

In Kelvin Phillips’ film A Swingin’ Trio, the character of Trude Garcon-Moore is a successful film producer.

In order to communicate this quickly in the story, I designed several full-sized faux movie posters based on photography donated to the production by my good friend and successfull photographer Bryan Chatlien.

Using Bryan’s imagery, I was able to quickly whip up some convincing low-budget posters for Trude’s growing catalog of films.

The  posters were designed in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop CS4, scaled to the most affordable over-sized printing parameters, printed full bleed by a local Austin digital printer and mounted on 0.25″ foam core.

Like the book jackets, they came out pretty well.

A few easter eggs lie in the credits.
